Why does my data appear to be inaccurate?

This article discusses trouble shooting steps for inaccurate data.

When analyzing your team's email metrics, you may occasionally notice discrepancies between the numbers in timetoreply and your actual mailbox. In most cases, this is expected behavior caused by your specific timetoreply configuration designed to keep your metrics clean.

Here are the most common reasons your data might look different, along with steps to resolve the issue:

1. Review Your Active Filters timetoreply uses filters to ensure your metrics reflect only relevant business conversations, naturally excluding junk mail, newsletters, or internal chatter.

  • Troubleshooting: Check your filter settings within the timetoreply dashboard. Review any Global Filters, Advanced Filters, or Excluded Email Addresses (such as internal company domains or automated no-reply addresses) that might be intentionally filtering out emails you expected to see in your reports.

2. Check Mailbox Authentication Status If your data seems to have stopped updating entirely or is missing recent emails, your email provider (Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace) may have disconnected timetoreply.

  • Troubleshooting: Navigate to your mailbox settings within timetoreply and ensure the affected mailbox is still fully authenticated. If the connection has dropped or the password was recently changed, you will need to re-authenticate the account to resume data syncing.

3. Contact timetoreply Support If you have verified your filters and confirmed your mailbox is actively authenticated but still see discrepancies, our team is here to help.
